I  am happily married with a wonderful wife and a sweet rescue dog.  Living in Talus, when not at  yoga, I can be found at the gym, walking the dog, or enjoying a good book. In my full time work, I consult with top global brands designing and implementing wellness protocols.

I started yoga in 1999 on a trip to Thailand.  It was a week-long yoga/meditation retreat…and I hated it 🙂  Later when back in the USA I tried again, a power vinyasa version.  Yoga became part of my fitness routine for a few years.  I stepped away from yoga for about a decade, focusing on Jiu-Jitsu and weight lifting, and then found my way back. Practicing most days of the week, I decided to further my practice by taking a teacher training program and I have been teaching since 2013.  I am an E-RYT200 and YACEP (certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance) and took my initial Yoga Training at HYE.  Additionally I am a Certified Personal Trainer and a Certified Group Fitness Instructor.

I love the connection and the grounding aspect of teaching yoga.  Being able to have a  positive impact on people’s lives and giving an hour of serenity is very gratifying.  My class is physically strenuous, but also very slow, relaxing and consistent. Both my Hatha and Vinyasa teaching follows a very consistent flow with a focus on body mechanics, lots of cueing and modifications.  The class can be as strenuous or relaxing as the student wishes to make it.

I am a Thai native who moved to the United States 20 years ago! I have a daughter and two dogs, and when I’m not teaching yoga I work as a paraeducator. I love cooking, hiking, and spending time with my friends. 

I started doing yoga five years ago with my husband. I fell in love with it almost immediately and started going to classes four times a week. It has helped me so much with both my physical and mental health. I am a RYT 200 (certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance). I completed my 200-hour teacher training program at HYE in 2019 with . Chelsea Boug.

I teach yoga because I want to share what I love. I love knowing that I can help people the way that yoga has helped me. I teach intense power classes, and a mostly traditional Hatha flow. I do not play music in my classes because I want everyone to really feel the energy in the room and pay more attention to what’s going on in their bodies instead of the music.

Before my yoga journey began, I worked as a CPA for 10 years employed by the public accounting firm of KPMG.  Then my priorities changed, and I stepped away from the 12 hour days of an accountant in exchange for 24 hour days as a wife and mother of three children.  My passion is yoga, but I also love to travel, hike and spend time with family and friends. I have always lived in the Pacific Northwest. I grew up in Tacoma, went to college at WWU in Bellingham, and then settled  here!

My yoga journey began in 2012 when I attended my first yoga class with my husband, Bob, who was looking for ways to reduce stress. I started off slow and was a bit apprehensive because it was a new world and a little intimidating, but I quickly embraced curiosity over fear and signed up for teacher training at HYE. I am an E-RYT 200 and YACEP (certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance).

My initial intention when I signed up for teacher training was to learn as much as I could about yoga, not to teach. That changed quickly when I discovered how much joy I found sharing my passion with others and experiencing a deep connection with all those in our yoga community. I still have moments in the middle of class when I look at the room full of yogis and I’m overwhelmed with how blessed I am to be around such amazing people. I love that everyone and anyone can practice yoga in some form and that it can be so healing physically and mentally.

I grew up in Minnesota playing a variety of sports rotating with the seasons.  I played soccer, hockey and Lacrosse in High School. In college I also played hockey and Lacrosse and also rowed in crew.  I normally spend a few weeks each summer in Maine catching up with my family and relatives.  I transferred out to Seattle with a restaurant company in the mid 90s where I picked up my skates again playing both inline and ice hockey and started  road cycling. After 30 years in various hospitality and fitness jobs I found my way to yoga!

I took up yoga as a way to heal my often- injured body and to allow me to continue my recreational activities (ice hockey, cycling and hiking).  My first yoga class in 1998 was on a dare from my roommate.I almost had to raise her rent after that experience!  When I started yoga, I practiced so I would be able to heal injuries and stay active. I started and stopped practicing yoga much like my college journey: three years to get one.  Once I began to practice more consistently I began to feel the physical benefits of fewer nicks and tweaks and better recovery from hard workouts and more stamina through better breathing techniques.  My managerial jobs became more stressful. I leaned on my yoga to keep me calm, focussed and more adaptable to changing working environments.   I am an E-RYT 200 (certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance) and I completed my initial 200 hour training in Hatha yoga with Ali Valdez.  A year later I took my second 200 hour training in Vinyasa with Danielle Day and Piper Sandifer.  I have also taken Continuing Education training with Jason Crandell, Tiffany Cruikshank, Les Levental, Amy Impoliti and Ana Forrest.

I teach a fundamentally sound yoga class based on proper alignment and breath work. My classes tend to be physical, but suited for all levels of students with clear dialogue modifications to meet the needs and abilities of each student.  I love seeing students progress in their practices.  I play music in all my classes.

Outside of yoga I enjoy traveling and spending time with my husband and King Cavalier, Stella. I feel most inspired when outdoors, walking, or learning about plants and birds! In addition to teaching yoga, I use my education in wine technology while pouring for William Grassie Wine Estates in Snoqualmie, WA.

I began dancing at age 6. At age 18 I was traveling the world as a professional dancer on board the cruise ships of Holland America Line. My passion for dance led me to exploring the mind and body benefits of yoga.  I am an E-RYT 200 (certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance) and completed by training in 2014 at 8 Limbs Yoga Centers in Seattle, WA. I have studied under master teachers Melina Meza, Chiara Guerrieri, Jenny Hayo, and Anne Phyfe Palmer at 8 Limbs Yoga Centers. Since completing my certification, I have continued to seek out and train with master teachers Schuyler Grant, Janet Stone, Noah Maze, and Scott Schwenk. 

My yoga classes are rooted in alignment and breath work. I aim to help students to create space in their minds and bodies to feel strong, open and empowered in their lives. My unique and intelligent sequencing is intended to encourage “mindfulness through movement”. I love connecting with students of all ages through weekly class offerings, workshops and retreats.

I was born and raised on the west coast, I’ve lived all over the country for college then my career including San Diego, Los Angeles and New York City, traveled the world for leisure, but I think there is no place more beautiful than the Pacific Northwest! It’s here that I got married, raised two kids and plan on never living anywhere else. My most favorite things are my family, friends, dog Coco, beautiful nature and of course practicing and teaching yoga & meditation.

Being from Marin County California we were practicing yoga at 15 years old! My serious yoga journey began when I kept getting injured from all my outdoor activities and the local yoga studio was right by my kids’ school. At a point when I was dealing with some stress in my life, I realized that my yoga practice brought me not only an injury free body, but a calm, peaceful and clear mind. 

 I am an E-RYT 200 and YACEP (certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance); I became a Yoga Teacher in 2011. I am also 40-Hour Yoga Sutra certified and a Reiki Healer,  and I am mindfully working on my 500 Hour training. I’ve studied meditation at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) MARC Institute, with “GOOGLES Search Inside Yourself Institute” and have my own Meditation Show the first Mondays with Seattle Yoga News. 

I teach to the current energy of the collective and offer poses, meditation and energy healing. I love the yoga workout and help with a tight body postures offer, but the mental and spiritual health I attribute to yoga has truly changed my life My classes always include Mind, Body and Spirit health – I sequenced with different themes, offer short meditations & affirmations and find practicing & teaching to music fun!

I am a wife, mama to 3 and a lover of all things sweaty. My passion hobby is triathlon and I love training for it with friends. I equally love hiking and seeing our beautiful world. My yoga journey started in pregnancy as a way to connect with my body and my baby. No wonder that child is so mellow! I began to teach yoga out of necessity with my job but it became so much more- it became a safe haven of where I could go to feel so many different ways of calm. 

I am an E-RYT 200 (certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance); I completed my 200 hour certification with Rebecca Pitzer at Pure 8 Yoga Studio. I have been certified in Yoga Sport as well. 

I like to teach an energetic, mindbody positive class. As an athlete, it is important for me to know and teach what our bodies need and the movement patterns that help to stretch and strengthen muscles. You can expect to have fun and leave class feeling lighter and happier because as I often say, you have to leave better than you came!

I was born in Arizona and moved to WA in 2010 with my husband and two kids.  When I am not doing yoga, I enjoy hiking, backpacking, traveling, organizing, planning, and spending time with family and friends. 

My yoga journey began when I connected to the breath. My practice evolved when I heard a familiar cue differently… Breathe. The shift in awareness changed everything for me! Movement is my medicine and breath is life.

I completed my 500 hour certification in Redmond, with Ali Valdez (Sattva Yoga), whose background and teacher is Universal Yoga by Andrey Lappa. Since then, I have participated in various workshops and classes to deepen my understanding and better teach arm balances, chakras and sequencing. I will always consider myself first a student, making an effort to integrate what I learn and always seeking to learn more.

I was born and raised in Ellensburg WA, I grew up riding horses and playing sports (Basketball, swilling and track!). I have a love for all animals and currently have three dogs, Wilson, Buckley and Maizy. I have a daughter (Bradlee) and a Fiancé (Daniel – soon to be husband 8/27/21). We love going to drive up in the mountains, going to the gun range, and archery!  

I started my yoga journey in 2016 when I moved to Sammamish. I saw the HYE studio and signed up for an Intro Offer, and the rest is history. I was able to keep up my practice all through my pregnancy, and went right back after I was cleared to do so. I initially wanted to do hot yoga for weight loss, but received many more benefits: less anxiety, improved mood, no back pain etc.

training at Hot Yoga Experience with Chelsea Boug.

I was born and raised in Seattle and am proud to call it my home.  I have been happily married for 16 years and have two fur babies named Bishop and Onyx.  I love anything that has to do with fitness and my family.

I got started practicing Bikram yoga and instantly fell in love.  I knew from that first class that I wanted to teach one day.  When I walked in the door at HYE I knew this was the place to start my teaching journey.  My favorite thing about yoga is that it’s for everyone, we all have the tools we need, we just need to show up on our mat and trust the practice.

I am an RYT 200 (certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance); I completed my Hatha and Power certifications at HYE. I have attended many workshops from different teachers to keep my practice fresh and also to continue bringing new flows to my classes.

I love to help guide people throughout their yoga journey.  I love creating a space for all levels and am so grateful for the yoga community. I love practicing and teaching Hatha, I believe it’s a challenging practice for the body with the balance of quieting the mind.  I have an extreme passion for teaching a challenging vinyasa class too.  I usually have an upbeat playlist mixed with a vigorous flow and try to end class with some deep stretching.  I try to create a well balanced class that leaves my students feeling more at peace and a little bit stronger every day.

I am originally from Wisconsin but I have also lived in Germany, Texas, Hawaii and have called the Seattle area home since 2012. My husband and I have two kids and an active chocolate lab. When I’m not in the yoga room, you might find me skiing or on my stand-up paddleboard.. On weekdays, I moonlight as a healthcare information technology consultant. 

I tried yoga during a couple stages of life and didn’t take to it at first. I used to focus on the “exercise” and it wasn’t until I appreciated and experienced the benefits of the other aspects of a yogic lifestyle that I fell in love and couldn’t turn back. Yoga in all of its forms helps me feel strong, grounded, allows me to connect with people and makes me so happy –  I love sharing that with others!

I am an RYT 200 (certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance) and I completed my 200-hour program with Piper Sandifer of Global Soul Yoga at HYE. I attended yoga teacher training initially to broaden my personal practice and do something for myself after having two kids. A class at HYE opened up about a year after I was certified and the rest is history. I love to keep things fresh and introduce new postures, creative transitions and new music into my classes. I love to connect with repeat students and  introduce yoga to new students.

I was born in Seattle and grew up in Issaquah. I love to be outdoors, go on hikes and Paddleboarding. I also love artwork, enjoying painting and reading books. I try to live a healthy life and stick to a vegan diet!

Yoga really helped my mind, body and soul. From struggling with depression to needing an exercise regimen, Yoga has become a powerful tool for me to control my energy and feelings. Once I started practicing I knew I had to go deeper and I found Meditation and Yoga Philosophy which also has had a huge impact on my life in the most positive way. 

I am an E-RYT 500 (certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance). I completed my 200 hour teacher training locally with Piper Sandifer through HYE, and an additional 300 hours of advanced training internationally in Bali. I am trained and experienced in a variety of styles including Vinyasa, Hatha and Renew (Yin/Restorative) . Practicing Yoga really had a positive impact and helped transform my mind, body and soul, so I dedicated my life to spreading the power I felt through Yoga. I teach creative classes that are grounding and healing; while also deeply honoring Yoga principles and Philosophy. I grew up in the midwest with two brothers. I am the aunt of 12 littles, some not so little anymore 🙂 I love nature, almost anything outdoors, most sports, traveling, daily activities for self care and cooking. I have been a massage therapist for 17 years and life & health coach for 7 years. I love helping motivated people reach their goals & break through their blocks. I am an entrepreneur at heart and find joy in the creative process of finding solutions and supporting optimal wellness. Coaching women to personal & financial freedom with choice is what drives me to continue showing up and empowering women day after day. I love being an advocate for change in health and nutrition within my community. I am an empowered LGBTQ identified spiritual gangsta with swagger and humor. Keeping it LIGHT is my preferred job!   

I took my first yoga class after hours with some friends in Atlanta GA at my Massage Therapy School. It was challenging and seemed far from the rugby life that I lived at the time, little did I know! A few years later I found myself living in Washington to be closer to my bestie Danielle Miller. She asked me to go to this awesome workout called hot yoga with her one January day, that was the moment of engagement that has changed my life, health and journey forever. After just a week, I knew I wanted to teach it and two years later I began that process with Danielle to prepare to open HYE. Since then I have taken several modalities, Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin, and I have a daily home practice. Being in the spiritual flow of our collective consciousness in each class is the most special gift and has allowed so many beautiful practices and experiences to unfold with ease. I completed my 200-hour Hatha and my  200 hour-Power Vinyasa training with Piper Sandifer at HYE. I have also taken Restorative yoga training from Judith Lasater’s manual Relax & Renew. I have taken Yin yoga training from Sarah Powers live. 

I enjoy teaching a more traditional Hatha class style. My students will likely tell you we never get to all the floor series because I talk too much 🙂 and I truly believe the mindset and empowerment is more valuable than the workout. Expect to feel your body, listen to your body and learn to love your body in each practice with me. Expect to be challenged, opened, and held safely in a womb to see yourself with grace and compassion. I often play music ( I take requests in advance too) for class to assist energy levels or the message of the day. I love some ab work and in my Vinyasa classes you will FEEL me on that. Generally I offer a slower flow that builds up and a lot of body position awareness and isolation of muscles in our practice. Notice I say practice, not class, I feel we are always in practice of being more of who we truly desire to be, more present, more aware, more kind to ourselves. I love that every body type and experience level can thrive with this practice.  I do teach private practice sessions by request as well, offering modifications, personalized asana and coaching. I teach to the beginner level often and turn up the volume to keep the HYE regular family members honest within their practice too. I look forward to practicing with you very soon.

I’m a Washingtonian so naturally, I love the outdoors. I grew up waterskiing, snow skiing/boarding, hiking, swimming, diving – all the fun outdoor things! My indoor activities were gymnastics, and dance, and my whole life has been centered around athletics and anything artistic! 

I started doing yoga due to an ankle injury, I had a couple surgeries which didn’t work out so well for me. I limped into a yoga studio one day out of curiosity and was hoping that it would help me in my recovery. After one class, I was hooked! I started taking two classes a day and felt that “magic” of healing mentally and physically through the yoga practice.

I am an E-RYT 500 and YACEP (certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance) and also a Certified Baptiste Teacher. My first 200 hour Teacher Training was done through Global Vinyasa, which was held in Thailand. I continued training and specialized in Power Vinyasa and completed an 800 hour  certification through the Baptiste Institute. I have completed all 3 Levels of Baron Baptiste’s trainings which have taken me to many locations in the USA. I have also completed Fit to Lead, Art of Assisting (two times) and the Advanced Art of Assisting. I have had many incredible teachers but my most influential teacher is always the student in front of me.   I am also the Lead Teacher Trainer at Hot Yoga Experience and I also hold a Yoga Behind Bars (YBB) designation.

I love teaching yoga as a way to CONNECT community on many levels. I believe yoga is all inclusive for everybody, any age, ability, gender, or race. The one law of yoga, which I believe, is that yoga does not discriminate. When you come to my class it is my goal that everyone is seen equally and will feel free to move in a way that empowers your health, happiness and general well being. I specialize in verbal and physical assists (adjustments/cues) in yoga. I am regularly hired as a specialist in Teacher Trainings (outside of the ones I lead) to teach this module. I also have assisted Baptiste Level 2 Teacher Trainings in Arizona. Meditation is a very important component to yoga and I teach and practice this as well.

I am a PNW native, grew up playing team sports, and find strength in solitude, hiking/running daily to be surrounded by nature and her music. I believe movement is medicine and the most important decision we make is to be in a good mood.

My journey to yoga began during my undergrad neuroscience courses. I learned about meditation and awareness of breath which proved to significantly reduce addiction relapse, improve perception of pain, amplify optimism, and super charge creativity. My first class at HYE was incredible. I was barely mobile with a lower spine and sciatic nerve injury that retired me from my senior year of college athletics, but instantly fell in love. I was drawn in with unique Far Infrared benefits, and found the community accepting, supportive, passionate. My new daily practice fueled me to heal, regain my strength, self-confidence and launch my career.

I was born in Toronto, Canada and moved to the United States with my family as a child.  I lived in Washington most of my life but just moved to Arizona last summer.  I am honored to still be a part of HYE’s Teacher Training staff as well as teaching classes when I am in town! Other than my love for yoga, I sing in a number of bands, work for a dog rescue in Arizona, and love art, reading, and writing.

My yoga journey started as a means to help my depression and anxiety.  I love the physical aspects of the practice but the deeper roots of yoga are what truly changed my life.

I am an E-RYT 200 (certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance); I completed my 200 hour certification with Piper Sandifer at HYE. Since then I have taken numerous trainings with a variety of teachers from around the world!

As a teacher my goal is that everyone who attends my classes feels seen.  I like to cue postures in a way that helps people find their own full expression in a pose and come out of class feeling good about themselves.  My goal as a teacher is to give guidance that helps people understand their own body so they can have freedom to explore their deeper selves in their yoga practice.I like to use music to enhance the experience of the practice.  I typically use instrumental rhythmic songs with a mix of lyrical songs here and there! Students can expect to get the traditional 26 posture series in my Hatha classes with lots of variations and different opportunities to modify or take substitution.  I love to give people a number of options. My Vinyasa glasses are grounded but playful.  I enjoy creative sequencing that works the entire body and gives lots of focus to the breath.

I am an adventurer, a creature of community and enjoy being surrounded by nature. 

My first hot yoga experience was at HYE. It was blissful yet challenging, sweaty yet fantastic! I was hooked.  The teachers and staff quickly became my community, and I was drawn to go deeper in my practice. The best decision I made was to complete the teacher training program! The things that I love best about my own personal yoga practice is that I can connect with my thoughts, feelings, beliefs and core values. Going deeper within, and bringing balance and peace back into my life.

I was born and raised on the west coast of Florida. I lived there for 42 years. I am married and a mother of 3 boys. I love to travel and see the great outdoors. I am a medical professional. I am a CT Technician and worked at a level 2 trauma and stroke center for many years before moving here. I recently left my profession to spend more time with the family and pursue my own interests. I moved to Issaquah about 2 years ago.

I came upon yoga for the first time in my 30s, looking for an activity that I can enjoy that didn’t feel like going to the gym. I have been practicing yoga for close to 10 years. I was a member of a yoga studio in Tampa Florida. I still go there when I visit regularly. They offered a variety of classes and I fell in love with the practice. I have a particular fondness for inversions. I find Yoga empowering through inversions and challenging at any stage of learning. I find moving meditation, connecting breath to movement, most beneficial. When I came here, I found HYE, a great welcoming yoga community. I attend classes regularly, enjoy the many workshops offered, and have been on 2 of the HYE Retreats.

I teach fairly traditional Hatha and Power Vinyasa classes. A moving meditation connecting breath to movement. I offer modifications and opportunities to add inversions and binds. I recommend bringing a block and strap to aid in a more grounding practice. I do play music in my classes. I encourage students to bring their own practice. I am your guide. I encourage students to modify, intensify, and use props. Do what your body wants and needs!

I grew up in Snoqualmie, WA and have lived in and explored Washington my entire life. I am of the mountains and when I am not on my yoga mat or meditation cushion I am outside in nature exploring all that the beautiful PNW has to offer. I enjoy long and challenging hikes and I have peaked most of the challenging hikes in Snoqualmie Pass with my beloved boyfriend Christian; with many more hikes on my bucket list including the Enchantments. I have a travel bug and am often traveling to new National Parks and new countries each year. I also absolutely love music and enjoy attending various different shows across Washington, from EDM festivals at the Gorge to indie rock bands at Marymoor Park, I am there!

I started attending yoga classes when I was in high school doing Running Start at Bellevue College and fell in love with the blissful feeling that I had every time I landed in savasana. I continued to take yoga and meditation classes throughout high school and college and at the end of my time at Oregon State University I decided to pursue my 200hr YTT, as I had realized how much yoga, strength training, hiking, and meditation combined had truly impacted my physical and mental well being in the most positive of ways. Yoga is so special to me because I used to struggle with chronic depression and now I am completely depression-free thanks to these practices and my path as a teacher.

I teach yoga because I believe that in order to maintain holistic well-being we must come back to our true nature of love and oneness as a collective, and I know that yoga and mindfulness practices help us to do that. I walk this path in order to guide others along the journey of what it means to live a ceremonial life. My classes are the altar and your body is the ritual – for coming back to center, receiving your intentions, and slowing down in the ever-quickening dance of life. I have received many pieces of feedback that my classes are very grounded and as an instructor I always do my best to maintain a level of traditional yogic philosophy in each of my class spaces, rooted in mindfulness. I am very passionate about music and the way music makes us feel, so I enjoy curating themed classes and playlists geared towards creating or invoking a certain mood/emotion.

I am an RYT 200 (certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance), Certified Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher, Reiki Master, and Trained Cacao Ceremonialist with extra training in Yoga Nidra, Yoga Anatomy & Physiology, Yogic Philosophy, Meditation Mastery, and multiple other styles of Yoga (Restore, Power, Slow Flow, & Hot) through YogaSix. I have studied under Michelle Young via My Vinyasa Practice studio, Veronica Najera with YogaSix, and extensively with Jane Lyon, her former Buddhist Mentor and primary Yoga Teacher. I am trained primarily in vinyasa yoga and I love teaching feel-good, energizing, and grounding sequences, paired with transformative meditation and pranayama practices.
